Morning Bath tones

Another early morning start, this time in the City of Bath. One hour before sunrise is slowly becoming my favourite time of the day for photography. There’s just something about it that brings out all the colour and highlights from a blue background, at a slow shutter speed that seems special… Having noted down a couple of spots to visit, I ended up taking the wide-angle lens again (a great lens for the city) along with the tripod - something that is quite a burden to carry around at times, but essential when it comes to low light photography… The sudden change of blue hour to a dramatic orange sky lurking overhead, I felt the need to pace from each spot. Unlike London - you can get around pretty quickly in this city, which is hugely beneficial on a windy day with an ever-changing, unpredictable sky...

Looking back, there were several missed opportunities that were on offer - noted down for another day. It's a great city to explore during the early hours of the morning - considering it's a location that is very popular with tourists...
