The man behind the lens…

A Nikon enthusiast from Bristol - my photography journey started since leaving school, observing/learning those that I looked up to, taking advice and keeping an open mind. Growing up in an innovative community surrounded by local architects, artists and journalists - the camera allowed me to contribute my own slice of creativity…

Inspired by the likes of Vivian Maier, W. Eugene Smith and Berthold Lubetkin (along with many others)… I would like to think I’ve found my own visual style and outlook, blending together a number of different techniques and methods into my photography portfolio throughout the years.

My advice to anyone would be to read and take notes of your interests, feel compelled to seek out your own perspective and keep learning new skills. Be curious and get out of your comfort zone, but most importantly - use your imagination…

In terms of styles and themes, I prefer to explore variations - capturing moments in time, telling a story and focusing on a narrative through images are all part of the photography journey. Whilst working on several other projects, I look forward to the ever-changing seasons and the surprises it will bring along the way…
