Keeping it local

Walking around my home town of Bristol, you can often find something new and uniquely odd. The ever-changing scenery on the streets can sometimes be seen as frustrating - causing traffic disruptions and diverted routes. However, this only offers another chance of something potentially better within our city. Over the past few years, it has changed drastically - a makeover from the Brutalist-style architecture to Commercial and Postmodern, which in my opinion, is quite sad to see. Surrounded by Brutalism during the 90's, I have fond memories of the community where I grew up in. The rough concrete has a sense of style/charm to it that, unfortunately, much of society refer to as 'eye-sores'. Certain sides of the city still remain very vibrant and diverse culturally, which I love! I started the day centrally, onto the harbourside, then heading into St Werburghs - there were several things that I spotted for a decent photo.

Amongst this set is one of my favourite Bristol walls too - I hope it remains there, intact, for a few more years to come. It always brings a smile to my face whenever I see it...
