Atmospheric City of Bath
Waking during the early hours of Autumn can be an onerous task for many in a conventional sense, especially as temperatures begin to drop and the bad weather conditions become more frequent. Although despite that, it does provide a good opportunity to explore the possibilities of capturing something special under the lingering blue hour sky - one hour before sunrise! After giving much thought of a possible location, I eventually decided to venture out into the City of Bath. I've always been entranced by the dark, moody scenes of this time of year. It may have something to do with my interest in dystopian science fiction - which inspires the idea of travelling to places to explore the urban environment of the city. Although there's something a little different about Bath - it has a wide range of unusual scenes to uncover within its rich history…
Roaming around equipped with the 50mm prime and 10-20mm wide angle lenses, it provided to be the best tools for the morning! I also took a lens hood, which became very useful with the unpredictable mixture of harsh bursts of sunlight, accompanied with the occasional rain shower. Thankfully, I managed to yield some pretty interesting results from my central location. The calm morning breeze also allowed me to use the Drone. The aerial images from above never fail to impress with it’s ability to capture the landscape from a much different perspective, showcasing a view that is quite surreal...
